Systems Administrator-Purchase

Richard Fleischman & Associates, a growing IT consulting firm located in Purchase, NY with large Hedge Fund client base is currently seeking two full time permanent Systems Administrator for the following 2 different shifts:

Fri-Mon 8am to 7pm or Fri-Tues 9am to 6pm

As part of the RFA Business Continuity Planning, this person is responsible for implementation, documentation, maintenance and testing of standard client Business Continuity Planning networks. This person is also responsible for overall maintenance of the RFA Data center normally inclusive of client software and hardware configuration, implementation, and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, configure, maintain, and test server hardware:
• Additional hardware as required for client installations
• Install, configure, maintain, and test all Business Continuity Planning specific server software
• Administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of all versions of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Citrix, and additional vendor software as required according to Business Continuity Planning guidelines
• Provide and\or maintain documentation for clients regarding their Business Continuity Planning services
• Activate and\or assist in activation of all or any component of standard client Business Continuity Planning Services
• Monitor\Repair issues noted during maintenance checks of client Business Continuity Planning components
• Respond to NOC alerts for Datacenter hardware or environmental conditions
• Conduct daily replication checks
• Report on the current maintenance status of networks to clients
• Provide Datacenter coverage for vendor or client access
• Respond to support requests for production clients located in the Datacenter, including clients located on RFA’s Hosted environments
• Escalate technical Business Continuity Planning and Datacenter facilities related issues to appropriate parties
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Administrative familiarity with MS Windows Server 2000/3 or higher, MS Active Directory, and MS Exchange 2000/3 or higher
• MS SQL 2000/5 or higher, Citrix Metaframe 1.8 or higher a plus
• Strong technical and communication abilities.
• Three years and up of experience in network administration and user technical support.
• Basic workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and approach problems proactively.
